You called me? /7:44 PM
A minute of retrospection.
Before I started work, (or was it on the second day of work), I read a passage from a book which in summary said: "Work is a sacred calling from God."
So being me I went to work determined to carry out my sacred calling.
My first job was the easiest job in the clinic. Wash dirtied instruments.
Wash dirtied instruments.
Sacred calling from God.
Put on napkin for patient.
Sacred calling from God.Change plastic cups.
Sacred calling from God.Sterilize instuments.
Sacred calling from God.Call patients.
Sacred calling from God.Sort out moulds.
Sacred calling from God.File cards.
Sacred calling from God.I had to constantly remind myself that this was a
Sacred calling from God. I know it sounds really, really dumb. How can looking into patients mouths and throwing out the garbage be a
Sacred calling from God? It was so unglam! It really wasn't easy feeling that way.
Many people think that a Sacred calling from God should be something like to become a priest, a missionary, or something great like that. But you see, Mother Theresa once said: "I'm not called to be sucessful, I am called to be faithful." If everyone wants to be sucessful, who will be faithful in the little ways?
Knowing it in my head is one thing. Applying it is another. But knowing it is at least a start. =P I really hope that I will do my best in my
Sacred calling from God.
